Exeter Show and Blood Tracking

Last weekend we had a very busy weekend.

On Saturday, we headed to Exeter and County Open show. No classes for munsters here so we entered AVNSC. Rookie showed really well and sensibly (two shows in a row; what's going on?!?!) and I was really pleased that he was awarded 1st place.

Then a quick zoom over to our SWCOG training day (obedience). We didn't do much here other than a bit of messing around the rings and mingling with friends I hadn't seen in a while. Rookie was well and truly brain-broken after this long day.

Rookie and 4 month old Scout

On Sunday, we got up early for a walk with the dogs we are looking after, then I headed off to Holsworthy for a day with the Bavarian Mountain Hound Society for a day's blood tracking training. Rookie did two cracking tracks, I was really pleased with his commitment and attitude in a new place on a new scent, but he was paw perfect. If there's anything I can rely on with this dog it's his nose. They are such a talented breed in this respect, I absolutely love tracking with him.

The BMHS were so welcoming to us, we had a fabulous time on the forest with them. Looking forward to next time.
