Well, what can I say, my little man surpassed all expectations at Crufts 2013 and behaved almost impeccably! I am new to showing, and I still get very confused about it all, but I will never tire of the compliments he receives. Rookie won his class, 1st in Special Puppy Dog. This qualifies him for Crufts 2014 and I cannot wait to go back and have fun with him all over again.
He was so up for a bit of training too, playing tuggies in the aisles, doing heelwork around the rings, his attitude was just brilliant. I didn't think he would settle on the bench, but he got in several much needed naps. Lots of people came up and gave him lots of fuss, he loved all the attention, he is a real show off. It was such a pleasure to spend my day with him, he showed brilliantly up against the big boys in the challenge for the CC and best puppy (well, by his usual standard!!) and really did me proud. Best puppy went to his gorgeous girlfriend's litter sister, we never mind losing out to lovely dogs! A friend was looking after Chili and Teak, and I was very glad to get back to them. They were more excited about all the goodies I'd brought back for them but I was greeted with wiggly bodies and cuddles so it'll do me.
